To illustrate how big, the June 3rd issue of the Oklahoma Gazette mentions me in two different articles!

One article is for the Individual Artists of Oklahoma Biting the Apple exhibition that opens this weekend with two nights of erotic art and performances. Toxic Goddess Burlesque will be doing performances on both Friday and Saturday evening. Toxic Goddess Dame Lebeau is the subject of my photo titled “Inked”, which was accepted into the show and will be on display. I was interviewed for the article in the Gazette.

The second article is about Soonercon which also runs this weekend. Toxic Goddess, Robert Henry and I will be making our fourth appearance at the Sinnercon adult party on Saturday night, signing autographs and talking with fans. Robert Henry and Toxic Goddess Aello will be setting up a table and meeting fans during Soonercon as well. Finally on Saturday at 3pm, I will be doing a one hour workshop on Self-Promotion on a budget. My workshop is geared to help other artists, writers, bands and promoters reach the widest possible audience for the least amount of money. Jerry Hall the Soonercon Chairman mentioned my workshop in the Gazette article.
The Gazette has always been fair to me, and I’d like to publically thank them for helping me get out the word about two big events this weekend! More resources about this week’s events are below.

Dream hard,
- Dirk Hooper

Gazette Article on Biting the Apple
http://tinyurl.com/qhm76u

Gazette Article on Soonercon
http://tinyurl.com/o4efd6

http://www.iaogallery.org/benefits/bta/index.htm
http://www.soonercon.info/dnn/

Fetish Photographer Dirk Hooper to Exhibit in Pennsylvania Art Show

ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA, February 4, 2009 – Fantasy and fetish photographer Dirk Hooper will have several photos on display during the “My Fetish Valentine” art show at Art N Soul Studios. type='text'>Soonercon - This Weekend!

Soonercon has become a big event for me, my creative partners and the
Toxic Goddesses. I'm setting up our first booth under the Sight Key
Studios banner and we will be there for all three days in the dealer
room. We are very proud to debut two new projects at Soonercon this
weekend as well.

The first major project is a full flaming color 72 page coffee table
book titled "Toxic Goddess Volume One". The book is a compendium of
the best erotic fantasy photography over the past four years of
working with the Toxic Goddess models. It includes photography by
Robert Henry and me, with makeup by Jennifer Marks and starring the
Toxic Goddess models! Soonercon will be the debut of this book, and
we will be offering extremely limited-edition pre-release convention
copies until they sell out!

We will also debut the "Toxic Goddess Project" comic book! A twelve
page Soonercon limited edition ashcan will introduce you to the comic,
the characters and the creators. Again, once we sell out you won't be
able to get this collectible again.

The Sinnercon portion of the convention will afford me an opportunity
to do something I've never done before, which is a demonstration on
erotic photography. I've been given a couple of hours and the space
to give a short discussion and actual demonstration with live models!
Seating will be limited for this class.

The Toxic Goddess models will be at the Sight Key Studios table
throughout the convention and particularly at the Sinnercon Ball,
which will feature some great burlesque and belly dancing performance!
The Toxic Goddesses and I will be available to sign copies of both
the limited-edition pre-release book and the Soonercon ashcan comic!

We're going to have a good time this weekend and we'd love to see
there! I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to Mistress Salem and Bosk for inviting me to display my work at the show. As the first American to be featured at Fetish Project, it was a distinct honor and one hell of an opportunity to introduce my work to a whole new audience and make some incredible connections.

I don't know how many people who read this ever visits Europe, but if you're in the mood for a party, I can assure you that you that Fetish Project is second to none! I've never in my life seen so many beautiful people in so many sexy outfits in one place, ever! For someone who lives in an extremely conservative state, this party was an amazing breath of fresh air! If you're into BDSM or fetish fashion, Fetish Project will blow your mind. I mean seriously, how many hot fetish models and sexy dominatrix can you stuff in one place? Fetish Project will answer that question for you.

I'd like to give a shout out to DJ Khimara from Japan, who rocked the place all night long (and I seriously mean until the break of dawn) and to Italian fetish photographer Michele Marchese, who also had work on display, and hung out with me at the event. I'd also like to say hello to Mistress Lilith from France and Mistress Brigitte from Norway who were both lovely and fascinating.

On a personal note, I'd like to say that I was extremely impressed with Brussels. As the capital of the European Union and the headquarters for NATO, Brussels is an endlessly engaging city with a true international vibe. I was impressed and thankful of the warm and generous nature of everyone I met there.

Both personally and professionally, my trip to Brussels was an extraordinary success.

I've listed a few links to the event and people I mentioned below.

http://www.fetish-project.be/
http://www.maitressesalem.com/
http://www.misslilith.be/
http://www.brigitte-more.nl/
http://www.myspace.com/khimaira_zos_kia
http://www.neroerotico.com/

Dream hard,
- Dirk
